This Trustee Week, we’re proud to celebrate the incredible people who help guide and support Elmbridge Community Link (ECL) - our trustees.

Trustees are the steering wheel for our charity. They bring wisdom, compassion, and dedication to everything we do, helping us create a welcoming space where we can help to enhance the lives of adults with learning disabilities and autism across Elmbridge.

Here’s what some of our trustees had to say about their experience in the role:

"It's such a privilege to be a Trustee and part of Elmbridge Community Link's extended family. The friendship and love from everyone involved - clients, volunteers and staff - is something that everyone experiences and that keeps the charity so special."

Terri Collins, ECL Founder and Trustee

"Being a trustee at ECL is an incredible privilege. I hope that my personal experience can offer an insight which helps the board to shape our policies in a way that means we can continue to do the very best for our members."

Lisa Woolhouse, ECL Trustee

"Being a trustee for ECL means having the privilege to help shape opportunities that genuinely enhance people’s lives. It’s about making sure every decision reflects our commitment to supporting users to live fulfilling and meaningful lives."

"I am a Trustee for ECL because it is my way of doing something positive for the community. I’ve always been passionate about supporting young people and being on the board allows me to make that small contribution to their wellbeing and the excellent work that ECL does." Kam Dhaliwal, ECL Company Secretary and Trustee

"Being a Trustee for ECL is immensely rewarding. It’s a privilege to be part of a group working to enhance the lives of adults with learning disabilities and autism. As well as getting to know our members and seeing the benefits our work brings, it’s great to get to know like-minded people from the local area."

Ann Ledgard, ECL Chair of Trustees

We’re incredibly grateful for the time, energy and heart our trustees bring to Elmbridge Community Link. Their leadership helps us grow, adapt and continue making a real difference in the lives of our members.

Thank you to all our trustees - your support means the world to us.
