ECL was established in 1994 as an advocacy service for local people with learning disabilities. Today, in our 30th year, we offer opportunities to young people and adults in the Elmbridge area with learning disabilities and/or autism.

The range of needs we deal with is broad and we aim to provide activities for everyone. Our timetable ranges from music workshops for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities, to our high energy AllSports session for younger people with autism and/or learning disabilities.
The charity's benefits are widespread. We delight in seeing our members become more confident people enjoying social interaction with their peer group, charity staff and local volunteers.
We’re also pleased that we’ve helped raise awareness amongst young people of the challenges faced by those with learning disabilities in their everyday lives, through our active recruitment of sixth form volunteers.

Importantly, we also offer valuable and appreciated respite to parent carers.
